Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2013 will take place at Yas Marina Circuit in the Arabian Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the UAE
Abu Dhabi is the capital city of the United Arab Emirates and nestles up against the warm waters of the Persian Gulf. It has become a major Grand Prix host nation in recent years, with Yas Island becoming a budding entertainment destination. Yas Island is one of over 200 islands in the Emirates and is home to the Yas Marina Circuit where the thrilling Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix action unfolds.
Yas Marina and its Yas Island Yacht Club attract Abu Dhabi Super Yachts from across the world; all eager to moor up and enjoy the F1 Abu Dhabi GP race from either side of Yas Hotel in the Island's stunning harbour.
Abu Dhabi has ambitious plans to rival traditional yachting areas like the Med and Caribbean and has invested heavily in island infrastructure. There is fine dining at Cipriani's, a world class golf course and a wealth of gardens, fountains and cafés along the Corniche, with beautiful beaches and Oases to soak up the sun. Beaches charge a nominal fee but provide lifeguards and all modern amenities.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2013 is the Oasis in the desert and attracts the Jet Set and Yachting fraternity from far and wide.
The Abu Dhabi F1 race careers around the Yas Marina Circuit giving a fabulous view to those watching from their luxurious Yachts and the VIPs watching from the air-conditioned private lounges overlooking the Pit lanes with a privileged and commanding view over the F1 Paddock and the main straight.
This dazzling brand new track - looking something like a mobster's Tommy Gun from the air - was designed by the famous Grand Prix architect Hermann Tilke. Quite a befitting shape, as cars shoot round at lightening speeds of up to 300km and hour down the longest straight in Formula One with one stiff corner before swirling back in to hug the Yas Marina on the way back round.
